I have had calls from an agent at Progressive recruitment first of all saying that for my benefit he will send my CV on to all the customers he has without having to confirm with me (isn't that illegal). He was not at all interested in finding me a job, the only thing that ...

When I moved to Bristol, jobless and penniless, Pertemps Recruitment Agency was my first port of call.  After a short interview with a friendly adviser, I took a typing test, passed it and had a job by the end of the week.  The initiation process was smooth and painless, and I found the staff to be genuinely accommodating and helpful.  I had a few different administrative based jobs courtesy of Pertemps, and was on an average wage of £7 per hour.  I never had any problems receiving my payment, which was paid directly into my bank account on a weekly basis (oh joy!)  An all round thumbs up for this one.

My experience at Five TV from interview through to leaving the company was fantastic. This was my first graduate position after graduating from University and it couldn't have been better.  The interview was arranged by the Graduate Recruitment Company in London and was the second interview I attended.  The interview format was initially in a group setting with various activities overlooked by various members of the management team.  Successful candidates were then called back for a more formal interview that same afternoon.  The interview was friendly yet professional, a deciding factor in me accepting the job when offered a few days later.Training was formal and carried out by different managers and conitnued on a weekly basis for the first few months.  The assistants were also very well supported by the sales executives and managers.  The sales floor was lively and everyone was friendly.  There was also investment in external training, such as excel courses and media courses.Pay was slightly above average for the industry and there was a generous bonus at the end of the year.  Other perks included free lunches with clients, parties, an annual conference trip, sponsored sports teams and shorter working hours on a Friday.HR was also excellent, company loans were provided for travel cards and a subsidised canteen for lunch, as well as a trolley laden with biscuits and tea twice a day, delivered to your desk!My only criticism would be that career progress was slow as you could only be promoted when someone more senior left, and as the company was a great place to work this was rare.  My reason for leaving the company was to move abroad.

Having experienced Unilever in 2 different European countries I generally only have positive things to say. The company is vast and despite spates of cuts there always seems to be openings... once you've got in. Having come in at the base level as a graduate the recruitment process seemed endless starting with the hardest essay I've ever had to write continuing with interviews and assessment panels. The whole process is however very efficiently managed with professionalism shining throughout, almost like a precursor to their expectations of you. Once in you're very well looked after to help get setlled even if at times you may feel overwhelmed.Following time there was an opportunity to move position to one of the numerous foreign offices around the World where the experience was significantly easier than the initial process. The organisation also seems to spend a lot of time doing whatever they can to help with the interview process really being more of a coffee taking process with your potential new boss. It is also worth pointing out that huge assistance was also provided to ensure a smooth relocation and job transition (even if the handover process between jobs lacks the depth it really requires). In summary; tough to get in, easy to move around.

I have also had dealings with NRL agency and with Rebecca in particular. The service I got was second to none. She and the other lady that answers the phone are always helpful, polite and always call me back. They might be the smallest of the 4 agencies near sellafield but as far as I'm concerned they are the best. Highly recommend them.

Marie Blanch from Amoria Bond is one of the most accomplished recruiters I have come across - she really knows her market, has great relationships with her candidates and will work all hours to ensure she fills her vacancies. I would highly recommend this supplier.
